Valley Floor Nordic Trails

Telluride Nordic Association has secured approvals for the 2011-12 Season for grooming on the Valley Floor in accordance with the Nordic Operating Plan approved by the Telluride Open Space Commission and as depicted on the map shown below. New this year, the Valley Floor Operating Plan envisions a three-year transition whereby the Town of Telluride will gradually assume all responsibility for grooming of winter trails on the Valley Floor.

VF trails may be accessed from the RV Parking lot at the south end of Mahoney Drive. Access with VERY limited parking is also available at the Shell station on Highway 145. Please do not park on the west side of the Shell Station. If parking is not available on the east side of the Station, please use the Mahoney trailhead in Town.

Please note the uses allowed on the different color-coded trails shown in the map. Dog are allowed ONLY on Boomerang Road and on the ungroomed trail on the south side of the San Miguel River (green trail). Mt. Bikes, hikers and snowshoes are allowd ONLY on the designated blue or yellow (multi-use) trails.
