Telluride Nordic Association maintains and grooms trails on the Valley Floor, at Priest Lake and Trout Lake. Funding from The Town of Telluride, County Open Space and the Telluride Foundation covers roughly one third of the total cost of trail maintenance. Net proceeds from Nordic Center operations also go towards trail maintenance. The balance of funds required for trail maintenance (roughly half) come from TNA memberships and donations.
If you are a regular user of TNA trails, please become a member. Membership information is available on the website Home Page. Guests and occasional users are encouraged to donate $15 per person per day. Donation boxes are located at the Priest and Trout Lake (lower) trailheads. Online donations are possible via the link on the Home Page. Thank you for supporting TNA!
Dogs are not allowed on any groomed trail on the Valley Floor except Boomerang Road. Dogs are currently allowed at Priest and Trout Lake trails provided owners are able to control and pick up after their dogs. Skiing with more than one dog is strongly discouraged. Doggie cleanup bags are available at Priest Lake and the lower Trout Lake trailhead. Dog owners should also pick up any branches or twigs deposited on groomed trails by their animals as the debris interferes with the grooming equipment.
Mt. Snow Bikes should not be used on trails at Priest or Trout Lake. There are limited multi-use trails on the Valley Floor where mt. bikes may be used.
